Thank you very much for your support of the AC Convention, for the many messages, your volunteer work, your time, and your offers.

The AC Con is a project close to our hearts: the community, the exchange, the venue, the possibilities—simply everything.

We spent about 2.5 years planning, lost track of the hours on phone calls, held meetings, planned contributions, drafted tables and concepts and sent countless emails.

All of this made our decision even more difficult. Unfortunately, we have to announce that we are cancelling AC-Con 2026.

It was not an easy decision, but it was necessary.

You’re probably wondering why?

With fewer than ten 4-day tickets sold, we cannot continue planning and take on financial obligations amounting to hundreds of thousands of euros. Since we are a non-profit organization, our two board members bear the entire responsibility personally and are liable for any dept. The entire event is based on volunteer work; we are not a large production company with a huge budget.

We did consider radically rethinking our concept to appeal more to non-circus people. However, such a radical change this late in the planning process poses a number of problems. Among other things, it would have felt too commercial for us, too interchangeable. We want aerial artistry to be alive and thriving. We want to create a safe space for aerial artists where they can perfect their skills and exchange knowledge at a high level.

Of course, all bookings will be fully refunded in the coming days. If you had booked a ticket, you will have already received an email with a link. You can use this link to track the status of your refund at any time. If you have any problems or questions, you can contact us at any time via email.

Our team would not consist of so many circus enthusiasts if we weren’t also optimistic. So let’s continue with a positive thought:

And even though the AC-Con 2026 will not take place, we have not abandoned the concept of the Aerial Circus Convention. We can imagine reviving AC-Con under different circumstances or at a later date—with your help and support, as well as that of the international circus community.
