Philosophie

The Aerial Circus Convention is a space for artistic exchange and contemporary circus culture. It welcomes participants of all skill levels, backgrounds, and experiences.

Our goal is to revitalize a historic and atmospheric venue, thereby increasing the visibility and public attention of the circus scene.

Our values:

Inspiration and exceptionality.

We took a close look at the venue we will be using:

— a place steeped in history and change.

We will fill this space with movement, ideas, and people.

Ferropolis presents our values in a unique way as a venue. By filling this inspiring and iconic place with culture, we demonstrate the diversity, power, and relevance of our work.

Exchange & Networking:

We provide a platform for people who want more than just workshops.

We invite you to share your knowledge. Artists from around the globe can display their talent in performances and share their expertise in workshops, inspiring others. We also want to create a space for joint reflection and further development of your work and projects with support. All of this can happen with us in an international context.

Professionalism and safety are our priorities.

With well-thought-out, individualized awareness and safety concepts, we create opportunities for younger participants to grow in a relaxed setting. Our goal is to ensure that all participants can absorb and responsibly convey content.

For this reason, minors must be at least 16 years old to participate.

Fairness and transparency:

We aim to enable participation for all interested individuals. That’s why we offer individualized options and solutions upon request.

Fair fees for performers and transparent pricing are standard for us.

We also aim to keep our planning and cost calculations transparent.

We want you to know what you are paying for.

This is more than just an event; it is also a collaborative cultural project. The ticket price covers the costs of participation and supports the interplay of people, materials, and infrastructure.

As a nonprofit event, all funds go exclusively to the event itself. Everything we contribute in terms of working hours, human resources, and money goes directly into the convention. We calculate fairly and transparently without the intention of making a profit.

Sustainability:

We rely on public transportation, plan to provide a special train, and design the event to be resource-efficient. This applies not only to materials, but also to the knowledge gathered, which can be sustainably applied to our own projects in the long term.
